Cyclone Football Camps
2010 Camp Information

Spring Coaches Clinic
Date: April 2-3
 
Junior/Senior Prospect Camp
Date: June 6

The Iowa State Football staff will give personal instruction on individual techniques and fundamentals.  This camp is typically available to any student athlete that is entering his junior or senior year of high school in the fall of camp year.


Little Cyclone Camp
Date: June 16

This non-padded camp is designed for youngsters to have fun while learning the fundamentals of football.  A specific focus will be put on competition, good sportsmanship, learning skills, and team work.  This camp is for students entering grades K-5 in the fall of camp year. 


Special Teams Camp
Dates: June 16
Selected special teams guest coaches give you the chance to enhance your kicking, punting, and snapping skills.  This camp is typically available to student athletes entering 7-12th grades in the fall of camp year and no student who is eligible for admission to a member NCAA institution or has started classes for his senior year in high school is allowed to participate. 

Individual Padded Football Camp
Dates: June 17-19
The Iowa State Football staff will give personal instruction on individual techniques and fundamentals on offensive and defensive positions.  This camp is typically available as a padded camp for student athletes entering 9-12th grade and as a non-padded camp for student athletes entering 5-8th grade. 


7 on 7 Passing Tournament
Date: June 13

Teams will be divided into varsity and junior varsity classes. Every team entered will be guaranteed four games. The Varsity Champion will receive an automatic bid to the National Select 7 on 7 Football Championships for the 2009 year.  No student who is eligible for admission to a member NCAA institution or has started classes for his senior year in high school is allowed to participate. 

Big Man Challenge
Date: June 13

In conjunction with the 7-on-7 Passing Tournament, the Iowa State Football Camp will be offering the Big Man Challenge, an opportunity for linemen to face other teams in a “strongest man” competition.

Tug of war, tire tosses, rep tests and weighted relays are just a few regimens in the Big Man event.

Teams are limited to seven-man squads, but schools may enter as many different groups as desired. Logistics do not permit a camper from competing in both the Passing Tournament and Big Man Challenge.


Friday Night Lights Camp
Date: July 23
 
’10-‘11 Seniors.  This camp is meant to aide players in grades 10-11 to hone their skills and athletic abilities to finish their careers in high school at the highest level and provide instruction in advancing their individual skills for those who aspire to continue their football careers after high school.

Each camper will select an offensive and/or defensive position and be given individual instruction for the purpose of skill development.

Orientation on what to expect during the recruiting process will also be discussed including a tour of Iowa State Football facilities.
